Our names are Scotty and Fiddy and we hitchhiked to all 50 state capitols in 50 consecutive days. We started in Times Square on October 10th 2006 and ended in Honolulu on November 28th 2006. It was awesome. Email us: hitch50@gmail.com. Thanks to everyone who made it possible, it was fun! Read about our trip here.

mexico

That's right, we're hitchin' in Mexico. We had a sign that said "New Mexico", but some guy read it as "Mexico", so he drove us there. Oh well, we'll go with it and do some grassroots hitching across the top towards Tucson tomorrow. We'll be on the side of the road on the highway 2 just south of Ciudad Juarez in the morning.

Hasta mañana,

Sanchez y Fernando

Gotta keep moving, though.
I'd say you need a full day to get to Phoenix, and possibly two days after that to reach Carson City.

Hawaii by the weekend .. it is possible?

Ohmigod, a wrong turn! Luckily you've 'banked' some extra days, so you have more than 50 days to get to all 50 capitals.

Odd that your map labels cities in the US and Canada, but not in Mexico. What's with that?

These videos are getting better and better. I wish there was 100 states. Why don't you just keep hitching through the Mexican states/provinces/districts? You guys are like butter - you're always on a roll.

Well good luck there guys. I'm not sure you wouldn't be better off to just turn around and cross back to the states, but hey, it's your adventure! Hope you have fun!

it's interesting - while you're in mexico, the location at the bottom left doesn't say your location in mexico, it says the closest location in the us. and when i text it says you're in suwannee, florida!

You guys must be loking for bonus points for extra miles. Go to Alaske, come back to states then back to Canada. (Even tho' graduation was a must). But now a side trip into Mexico. I thought you would be in Phoenix by now. Guess you won 't catch up to brother-in-law before they go to Palm Springs, CA on Wed.
Missing us again.

My kids, who are studying Spanish, want to know what eggs and tacos have to do with getting into a car.
They have learned a lot about the Lwr 48 following you around.

Great, glad to see you made it back across the border. 6 days to go, plus 4 stops. I see you're on your way to Phoenix and should arrive pretty fast!

Scotty & Fiddy,
Can't resist another message. If the GPS is working, you have not left Phoenix. Here's hoping that someone on Roosevelt St. has been treating you to one of the favorite holidays of the US of A, and one of our great Thanksgiving feasts.
Time is getting short. Surely hope you can make your goal.
