Tuesday, October 10th. 10:00 AM
It's official. Hitch 50 begins Tuesday, October 10th at 10:00 AM Eastern time. We will be in Times Square hitchin' to New York's capital: Albany. This gives us until Wednesday, November 29th to reach the 50th state capital.
I doubt many people hitchhike from Times Square, should be pretty fun. If you're in the area come see us, get a photo with us, hang out, attract attention or offer us a ride.
Just look for two guys wearing green and blue shirts holding a sign that says: "ALBANY"
See you then,
Scotty and Fiddy

This is awesome, but i'm really curious.... how do you plan on getting to alaska and hawaii?
Good question. Maybe become flight attendants?
I've got a shower in Phoenix ya'll can use... and a ride if you need one... but I've got no a/c... and my windows don't roll down... but mi casa es su casa... I'll trade you for some Girl Guide cookies...
It sounds like you are in for a great time! I'm sure you won't have many problems getting through my state of Montana. We're generally nice to hitchhikers =) (at least on the western half of the state)
I'm most likly going to be in class when you come through, but if it's a weekend, I'd love to give you guys a ride.
when you get to sc, let me know. i can drive you wherever you want to go!
not sure about your functionality of the website/gps thingo, but it would be cool if you could plot a line on the map where you actually went.
I'll be watching for you in Dallas! As Jody said, mi casa es su casa! (And I can drive you around a bit too...)
Do you guys have any rough outline of what order in which you are going to visit the state capitals?
Also, be on the lookout for the lack of McDonalds in Montpelier; we are the only state that doesn't have one in it's capital :p
Reminds me of the song
http://www.circanine.com/music-1.html
The chorus is I've got fifty dollars says you'll never make it to Albany
Good luck! We will be watching.
Have you got a ride out of Manhattan yet? I live in Jersey City and work right near Penn Station. I can't afford the three hour drive to Albany, but if you haven't got a better offer I can probably drive you part of the way.
If your journey takes you through downtown Kansas City, MO, I can get you to Topeka if I'm free that day. My car is crappy but it works.
how cool. have fun! (i'll bet a lot of cabs are gonna try to pick you up in times square, though
your trip sounds awesome! i'm so jealous! i'm from bc, but if you're in washington, i can give you a ride!
that is awesome.. i'll be watching
What are you five favorite colors, in alphabetical order? I expect a response, and I will be checking this comment section every half hour until you reply. Or you can also reply as a comment on my myspace pictures, I'd be okay with that.
If you get near Greensboro, NC or Charlotte, NC gimme heads up and I'll drive you to Raleigh, NC.
